Significance of Rasa Dhatu For the Human Body: Our body is made up of seven different Dhatus. They are the building blocks of our bodies. These dhatus are responsible for the nourishment and body build up and also help in the structure of the human body. In Ayurveda, seven types of dhatus are mentioned and they are placed in a certain order in terms of their importance.

Every dhatu has its own importance. Like the tridosha, these seven dhatus are also made from a combination of five elements. Rasa Dhatu is the first dhatu. In this article, we will discuss the significance of Rasa Dhatu and will find out how it works.

Significance of Rasa Dhatu

The three doshas, ​​the seven metals, the five elements, the body, the senses and all the functions of the mind are done by this rasa dhatu. First of all, the rasa dhatu is formed in the body digestive system. After that this rasa travels throughout the body by the mode of blood. But due to some disturbances in the doshas, ​​the level of metals or dhatu in the body starts to change.

A small imbalance in the dosha also affects the Rasa dhatu and as result, the disease arises. The disease which appears in the body due to contamination of the dhatu, that disease is said to be associated with the name of that dhatu. The disease that is formed due to imbalance or contamination of Rasa Dhatu is known as Rasaj disease.

Work of Rasa Dhatu

Being the first dhatu among the seven dhatus, the main function of this rasa is to satisfy. It gives satisfaction and happiness and nourishes the dhatu next to it. It is a primary dhatu in the human body that helps in the formation of other dhatus in the body. This dhatu circulates in the whole body all the time. Whether it is day or night, the Rasa dhatu keep circulating and nourishes, develops and maintains the whole body functioning properly and constantly.

Symptoms of Rasa Dhahtu Imbalance

Increasing Rasa Dhatu Symptoms
